“The Missing Link” Tourmaline and Diamond Ring

This ring, from our gallery collection, speaks of “The Missing Link” between humanity and nature, industrial progression and sustainability, exciting technological advancement and elegant tradition.

In our society of social media driven, consumerist frenzy, “The Missing Link” seeks to honor our collective life experiences as being more central to our lives than the pursuit of gold and gems. In our increasingly chaotic world, “The Missing Link” is grounded in humanity, nature, and grace.

This piece is crafted to include a used bicycle chain link at the center of the ring. The design of the ring seeks to capture sensations of abundant freedom and movement–memories that I imagine are “stored” in each used chain link.

This ring is fabricated from silver, 22k and 18k gold, hand engraved leaves, a black moonstone, with black and white diamond accents, and bicycle chain link.
