24k Gold Spiral

These earrings are hand forged from upcycled bicycle spokes. Bicycle spokes are made from 314 series surgical grade stainless steel which is hypoallergenic, lightweight, and non tarnishing.

To create these designs, the spokes are heated to almost 2000 degrees, formed, hammered, and polished for several days. They are resistant to bending, scratching, tarnishing and corrosion. These earrings are great for everyday wear and the simple designs in this collection can easily be dressed up for more formal occasions.

These earrings go even further with 24k gold plating! To achieve this, jewelry is first plated with copper, then finished with thick 24k gold plating. Although these earrings require care to protect the finish from unnecessary wear, the finish is quite durable and can be expected to last many years.
