“Sempre Tibi Amo”
Reads the inscription on the inside of this ring, letters carefully inscribed to match the partner’s handwriting. I will always love you. This was the first engagement ring I fabricated entirely in my tiny mobile studio (see page 18). It was set with a 1.66ct yellow and two lavender colored montana sapphires. Hand fabricated from 18k rose gold and platinum, it includes hand engraved milgrain accents.
After parking my mobile studio deep in the Arizona desert, I reflected. How does one capture such a deep human sentiment in something as small as a ring? I decided the best course was to stick to the design that the three of us created together; to allow it to flow through me and not from me. Although the design was based off of rings from Bici.Arte (see page 8), it was modified to be an everyday ring: the design was shortened, and all spirals were kept tight and soldered as filigree to prevent catching.
